Question about mailing address...

I was wondering, what will our mailing address be at camp? Do we have to wait and see what our dorm room # is first? Will we even be able to recieve mail at all??

Well, I'm not sure if you are ABLE to recieve mail or not . . . but even if you don't bring a computer, you will be able to recieve e-mail at camp through you're UofM uniqname. Everyone at camp CAEN gets a uniqname, and this is how you will log on to the computers at UofM. When you get there, someone will be able to help you, but I can give you a brief description now of what you will need to do to get e-mail through UofM.
Once you logon to a workstation, open "Tera Term Pro", which will be on the desktop. In the text box, you can type any one of the following things: and, or, nor, xor, not, blue, green, yellow, guava, papaya, and many others, too. What you will be doing is loging in, through telnet/SSH to and.engin.umich.edu, or.engin.umich.edu, etc. You can even do this from home once you get a uniqname, but you have to type the full server address out. Anyways, after you connect and log on (put your uniqname and password in the correct text boxes), type PINE and hit enter at the prompt. Your e-mail address will be *your uniqname*@engin.umich.edu. For example, my uniqname is ebudaj, so my e-mail is ebudaj@engin.umich.edu. Hope this helped!
