Hey. Â*I'm new this year to Camp CAEN, and I'm hoping it'll be a blast! Â*But, I do have a few questions:

First off, my parents would like to know if they could come down some time, and pick me up for lunch or dinner, and then drop me off as you guys are getting back. Â*Would they be able to do that?

Third, if we can bring a computer (or in my case, a laptop), we will be able to hook it up to the UofM network and get internet?

Fourth, I haven't recieved anything in the mail since I sent in my forms (who I wanted to be in a dorm with, payment form, health form). Â*Will we recieve any confirmation that I got to be in a dorm with the person I wanted? Â*Or do I get told that on Day 1?

You will be able to bring your computer to the dorms and get to UofM's network. There are Cat5 jacks in the wall, you figure it out from there.

For your first question, no problem. Your parents (or someone your parents authorize to) may take you out of camp for any reason . Just make sure we know that you're leaving!

Bringing computers is allowed, most certainly, however you do so at your own risk. We haven't had any issues with kids having their computers in the room, but any time you're in a dorm setting there is the potential for someone to walk off with it. This is why we suggest that you do not bring your computer, but you are certainly allowed to.

If you do bring a computer, all dorms have internet access. Trust me when I say that the University internet connection is *fast*. http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
