I was wondering what kind of game programming we would do. Is it 2D/3D? And are we using a specific language or are you just going to teach us the theories of game programming?
Would it be possible for me to see what type of games previous students have created? Or, if that is not possible,
could I see a description of a game that one student made?
Any answers you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The game development class is focusing entirely on 2D graphics, with a possible short explanation on some things for 3D at the end of the session. As for the teaching, the first half of the class will focus more on game development and ideas, while the second half will be teaching DirectX. It will be taught in C++, though DirectX can also be used with VB, this will not be taught in class. As for examples of games, this is essentially the first time the class is being taught (there was another DirectX a few years ago that I was apart of, and I have a project i made in there, though i have worked on it a bit after CAEN), so there are no examples or descriptions available. The main focus of this class will be making a game designed by one or more students, and then programmed by those students. So just think of what type of 2D game you would like to make, or play at any rate. If there is anything else you want to know, you can post it on the message board or email me and i will get back to you.
