Hey is there any chance that there will be css instead of cs 1.6 this year?

There is a chance that css will be available. However we have offered it in years past and because the install takes so long no one has played. If there is a lot of interest we will certainly try and get it running.

Cool! yeah after getting css at home i can't stand playing with the 1.6 graphics anymore

Personally I've played both Source and 1.6 a great deal, and even if 1.6's graphics are a little worse the gameplay and game engine are just infinitely better. It's too easy to spray and pray in source. Also the fact that 1.6 is smaller, runs faster and is less laggy are all huge plusses in favor of it. I'd prefer we stuck to 1.6, but if people wanna go source we could probably get it working.

We are going to continue running 1.6 in the labs as well as the servers for it. However if you have a copy of CSS you are free to run a server in the dorms and play on your own computer.

Counter-Strike CZ isn't better than 1.6... 1.6 is free if you want to play in certain servers.. I personaly payed for my CS with Steam.. You need steam to play CZ

Don't change the servers to CSS please!! My computer cant take that hude game.. I will be sad

Any chance a camp caen alumni can play on the caenage servers from a different network?

I think that should be okay. If you run into any issues with admins tell them you were a camper.
