What is the URL to access the Half Life zip file that we all installed at the beginning of Session 1? I really want to get the game to play at home!

you won't be able to use it anyways online unless you actually own Half-Life. If you have Half-Life, then you can download the game at csnation.counter-strike.net

You can also buy CS standalone, but either way you need to pay money for it.

Guys, I hate to burst your bubbles, but as Jordan has been trying to explain, if you download those games, the only people you can play against are bots or play the single player half life missions. These versions are cracked and will not work on online servers. These only work because we don't authenticate with the WON servers.

if you want to play some real counterstrike get halflife off of direct connect and you generate those damn keys until you find one that is registered!

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos goes Gold!
Clear you calendars, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is finally complete and will be available at retailers everywhere beginning July 3, 2002.

That's from blizzard.com, by the way. The calander tells me it's July 1st.

And while Condition Zero may be CS++, 1++ is 2, and 2 > 1.

You might have been talking about the cracked Beta, though. The lab computers are 900's, and have, er, adequate 3D cards, right? I'd figure it'd run on those, seeing how the requirement is a PII 400 with an 8MB card.

yeah, that doesn't mean we don't have it. Greg and I have been playing both cracked, and then full retail since febuary. So yeah, warc3 is pretty much out for at least my intent and purposes.

War III, full retail has been out. I've had it for about 2 weeks now, and I was one of the last ones to jump on the boat. As Stan said, some have had it for months. It's quite lovely. =)

The "retail retail" couldn't have been out in Feburary, seeing how they still have been still coding it then, as in the game wasn't literally "finished" 'till about 3 weeks ago. Sure, I played a little of the cracked beta, but the fact remains that the game's release date is July 3rd.

woah... probably not coding. Play testing is more blizzards style. Also, they usually wait 1-2 months after completing the game before releasing it - build up hype, prepare production materials, etc (4.5 million copies *the day it is released*). QA was finished when the beta was over. For all intents and purposes, the game was *done*.

All you guys still obssesed with counterstrike should get a life. Try the new best game around, the Delta Force series! they range from only $20-$30 and is pre-installed on some of the CAEN computers by me in Rm. 507 and 05 or 6, whatever it was.... I still like cstrike but I HATE WON because of multiplayer and failures im getting(im buying the game so i can get a serial that works...) Im not sick of it yet so... The lab computers have no video card, so everything (if it will run at all) will be choppy.
