cs.caenage.com will work. You can also ping this to get the ip.

Oh, so the subnets have changed from last year and we can connect to lab computers from the dorms? Nice. I remember we had to be in the labs to play on a lab server.
Also, any chance of getting a serverop cool enough to disable sv_lan for a few seconds so some external players can join up? :) I know GPez did it for me and a few others back in the day, and it worked like a charm. That might have changed with the Source engine though, if that's what you guys are playing. Is it CS:S, or still just CS?

A lot of things have changed from last year.
We're still playing 1.6 for the most part, mainly because CSS is way too large to load.
i think* you can connect to the CS Servers from anywhere on the Internet now.
you may have to use our installer rather then steam. Http://caenstaff.com/jon
right now the CS server addresses are:
sv 1: cs.caenage.com
sv 2: pierb507p52.engin.umich.edu

I remember it worked two years ago, but last year, no dice. It made me actually get up and walk to the Pierpont - what a long walk...I'll try the address Jon listed later on.
Just curious - Jeff, what session(s) are you in this year?

You could just say the servers are 'cs.caenage.com' and 'cs2.caenage.com'. Oh the secrets you learn by dropping in randomly at camp at sessions you haven't signed up for, just because you happen to be in town (for orientation, in fact). :)

Connecting from home works fine for me, using the unhaxed (normal Steam version) CS, even though the servers are in LAN mode. I'm guessing someone hacked the binaries to make it not force a disconnect on non-LAN clients. In any event, that's totally awesome. I was playing against some campers from my house a few days ago. I assume that it also works from the dorms, though I haven't confirmed this -- though I'd laugh lots if it didn't work.

Hey Mark, I'm CITing session 3. I couldn't manage session 2 this time, just because my summers are getting progressively more difficult to plan. I'm hoping to get in on some of that GameDev action, too...mmm.
