From last year's thread:

</span>Quote[/b] (ImEric12 @ Aug. 14 2004,20:07)]*is too lazy to start a thread*

I started this one, someone else start the next one.<span =''>

I guess I'll take the initiave. Can't wait! We gotta start planning!!!!! http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hopefully I can come next year, my parents might not let me.. bleh. Either enough begging (doubtful), or the achievement of CIT status (doubtful) will get me there. Ack.

Is the CIT status that hard to get? My parent's told me I could come as a camper (hopefully to take what I always wanted to - Dev Web Apps), though after I attempt my A+ cert, I might apply for CIT status...

well, I was quite surprised when I heard certain people were CITs (not being mean or anything...course, it's not like anybody reads the forums anyways). I don't think it's super hard to be a CIT. Some (at least one) of the CITs this year were sorta lazy too, and didn't do much, except sit in the back and read email and stuff :P

So, I don't think there's much challenge for it. Nick D. told me it was tough to get CIT just after CampCAEN2002 (or was it '01?) finished, but seeing who got CIT status this year around...doesn't seem that challenging.

What does it take to become a CIT though? Like what Nebula said, it doesn't seem to be all that strenuous of a gig.

Yeah, but I'll only be 16 next year. Although Lee and Sam were only 16, they only got to be CIT's because there were a shortag of CIT's. I'm hoping this will happen next year.

(My complete uninformness alert:) Lee's 16!?!?! Egads! http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif (end alert) Anyhoo, grapevine has it that Escapa, Joyce and a few others may not be coming back; I'd bet there'd be fair room for quite a few CITs for next year.

oh man, and I thought losing GPez and friends was bad...not Uncle Dan! Joyce is new, why's she abandoning so soon? http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

You never know though, the grapevine is a fickle thing. You'll just have to wait until next year, I suppose. Or if Escapa and or Joyce swings by. Hmm.

CIT isn't that hard to get, just follow up after sending the application in. Call, send an email, or anything, just to keep the CITs on top of Jamie's mind.

Quick quest - is there going to be an app going up for applying CIT or is it completely by communication with James Todd?

Joyce isn't that new she has been there for several years. Descapa won't be returning unfortunately last I heard, he is playing too much RL now. I will be returning(last year was the first year in 7 that I missed) and to the one asking about the CIT app emailing jamie is your best bet. There are some great classes lined up.

lol, never fear. Â*We're still lurking ;)

I'm not sure what Joyce is up to next summer. Â*Escapa is now working full time for CAEN, so he will certainly be around north over the summer. Â*Not sure if he is actually doing anything with camp but I wouldn't be surpised to see him guest teaching a class or two.

The Jucketts are looking for summer internships, they'll find out what they're doing in the next month or so.

Justin and I have full time jobs out with Microsoft starting at the end of June. Â*I might pester Jamie to let me teach a class of my own this summer...at least to tie me over until I move to Seattle http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Oooh, my precious CAEN forums are back up.

And I'm still logged in.

Anyway, I think if I can go, I'm going for GameDev or Digital Filmmaking. Definately Session 3.

Oh, and I just have to post the coolest picture of Uncle Dan ever:

Paul, you're just photogenic, I suppose. Myself on the other hand, I make young children cry, which may explain a bit.

Nice to see you on here Paul - seems like a lot of the pictures on the front page do come from the Digital Film classes - I'm on the frontpage but as opposed to green, I'm wearing Oranage...

I'm definitely getting pumped for '05, and hoping and praying I'll get to be a CIT.
