We're all nerds here, right?
I'm sure many of you have heard of the Nigritude Ultramarine SEO contest, there was an article on slashdot, wired, and tons of other geeky news sites.
Now, I'm a representative of the site that won the first leg of the contest, forums.merkey.net. We're working hard to pull back up to first place for the second part of the contest, but currently, Anil Dash is beating us, because he has more backlinks.
It would really help us out a lot if someone were to post the following code on the HTML help page for CAEN, even if this were a small link in the corner, because the help page has a Page Rating of 6.
<a href="http://forums.merkey.net">nigritude ultramarine</a>
It would also help if you guys helped spread the news, and get that code on other people's sites. The more backlinks, the more power we have with google, and we're determined to beat Anil!
For current standings in the contest, just search google for 'nigritude ultramarine.'
If you would like more information about the contest, contact my friend Brandon Suit, who is heading our nigritude ultramarine campaign.

And of course, http://forums.merkey.net
Thanks, and sorry for the shameless advertisement-ish thing, just delete it if you feel this crosses the advertising line.
