Well what do you know, the forums are finaly working after some long long down time. Yet, they still are the 2003 forums, wonnnderful. Great managment.

Yeah, what was up with that down time? And also the late getting up of the application form, I didn't get it fiilled out early enough, and now I have to wait until I get my math grade up from a C http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
stupid geometry...

Anyways, yea I was wonderin. too about the forum downtime for soo many months and the late aval. of the forms... Seems the management is gettin' lazier this year... humm... Â*http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Yeah, things seem to be going really slowly and jerkily this year. I keep e-mailing people looking to apply to become a CIT and I keep missing Mr. Todd... and its getting kinda late in the year... Whats going on?

Aparently Mr. Todd has been away on vacation... a long vacation. And for these forums, CAEN had to call in some retired elders as back-up to get these running again. (thank you Greg and Justin). I'm not sure if the problem is lazy managment, or more a lack of managment. I don't think you have to worry about not getting into classes, because it seems that everyone is signing up late this year.

Sheesh, is it really so bad being away from the CC message boards? Everyone's gotta take a break now and then http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
If you e-mail Mr. Todd, he's usually pretty speedy at replying, and there's also the phone numbers on the "Contact us" page if necessary.
So, what classes are you all planning on signing up for?

Intermediate C++/Network Exploration
Wonder who's teaching them? I talked to Dan Christianson (sp?) a few months ago, as we went to good ol' Pierpont for a lesson about 3dsmax for my robotics team, and he said he was probably gonna teach Intermediate C++, so that should be cool. Who's teaching network?

Hey same here Eric, Intermediate C++/Network Exploration.
Yeah I'm curious which (few) teachers from 2003 are coming back this year...

I plan on returning to Camp CAEN, taking the Multimedia Class in second session.
And yes, what is with the lack of general population here? Last year, it was filled with people...
And do we know when we know the class opening status?
Thanks,

I'm hoping to return as a CIT this year. Too old to be a camper http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I'm looking forward to this year, if you lot of nerds find something better to do than play CounterStrike all the time.

YAY! Final grades are in, and I really worked hard, and got my grade up to a B- (80%, barely made it)
This means camp! http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

oh god help us if we play counter-strike for another year.
Unreal Tournament 2004 can run on my pentium 2 400MHz with a GeForce 2 GTS (albiet badly).....it should be able to run on the lab computers if nothing else. It's one of the best multiplayer games like ever so it would be a great alternative http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
FP!
Yes, I've been reading too much /. Unfortunately, I won't be able to come this year. On the plus side, I think what I learned last year has gotten me a job ... I will hopefully show on the CS server, though. Even though I still suck http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

w00t I just registered for Intermediate C++/Network Exploration! Â*http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Yea, I'm SICK of playing CS year after year @ CampCAEN. We SHOULD play UT2K4 as I just got it and it's AWESOME and yes it should run on the lab comps (even runs on my family's computer with a crappy GeForce2 MX). Can't wait for UT2K4 0wnage @ CC!!! Far Cry is another awesome FPS, but I don't think the lab computers could handle that http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

w00t! Grades got in here too, and my 3Qtr GPA was a 3.8 http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ...which means CC2004 for me http://campcaen-dev.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . I might ask, is there a course around here that'll offer introduction around the PC Hardware, kinda like what I hear SysAdmin was last year? I'm going with a friend, so I'm changing from Session 2 to Session 3...which means no Multimedia class for me.

Do we do anything special to apply for CIT? I remember hearing tell that "Resume" replaces "Essay", and I think I remember seeing a list of questions to answer a while back...
