hey guys...
I decided to usurp my familys bandwidth into hosting a dedicated server for JK2.
The name is {EJA}Server CAEN
(EJA being the clan that I am currently in and hosting the server for... so I figured I'd make it dual-purpose)

What's the IP of your server? Sometimes it's hard to find a specific server in the listings! Let's play JK2 this weekend!
I'm an expert at setting up JK2 servers btw, if your gonna host a JK2 server I recommend the dedicated server software and the latest game patch on your server!

It should be 68.42.73.233:28070...
I am starting it up now...
It runs 1.04 + Serverside Vulcanus 2.2

It's NOT working, I can't even query your server now...
I think you use a router(like linksys) that has the intenral firewall build in by default. You need to use the port forwarding feature of your router to forward port 28070 to 28070 with BOTH TCP and UDP to your LOCAL LAN IP in your linksys/or whatever router config...

Weird...
I know that it is working... I have been playing on it for the past 3 weeks with people outside my internal network on this server.
How are you searching for it?
Through the game? Â*Favorites?

EDIT: Try just searching via the IP, skip the port number... 28070 is the default.

I tried again this morning, no luck! http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
I can't even ping your IP right now, I'm getting ALOT of "request timed out" on all the pings!
Here's the results:
Pinging 68.42.73.233 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 68.42.73.233:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
Are you sure your WAN IP didn't get changed by Comcast or something? This sounds weried...

try pinging him on the JK2 port...my router has the option to give no response to a ping on the WAN port, so that may be what's happening.
Try enabling that. I use a NetGear MR314 Router. Just go into telnet, and try to open a connection to that port if pinging doesn't work.
