We are working on finalizing staff right now. Once we know who's going to be working, we'll let the staff know, and then we'll probably let all of you know. I don't see any reason to not tell you guys who will be teaching, but I'll have to discuss it with the other staff members.

As of now, the staff list has not been finalized (that I am aware of). When it is, the Instructors will discuss letting everyone know who will be working at the camp.

I haven't played DDR in almost....2 months, and only once in the past 5. I probably won't be playing any more video games till the summer. I've decided that I can make better use of my time by giving up video games. I figure the time i save is better spent doing art, working on my webpage, practicing music and spending time with my girlfriend. *shrugs* I guess ddr just isn't that important to me anymore

So with 2 months left till camp starts...who are the instructors again?

Alrighty, let me clarify some things http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Â*

First of all, there are still some things up in the air. Â*It may or may not come as a surprise to you guys that CAMP is ridiculously flexible when it comes to almost everything. Â*Something included in that is what classes are taught by who and where. Â*For example first session we are holding C++ and Java. Â*We predicted that there would be more interest in Java, so we penciled in two Java classrooms and instructors. Â*The numbers are shaping up such that the C++ class is much more popular, so that extra Java class will now be a C++ class. Â*That switches our room assignments and instructor assignments. Â*Luckily for us, the instructors are so 1337 that they know both languages http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Briefly, here is a rundown of the instructors and what classes they're teaching:

Dan Christensen:
1) Game Development (all day)
2) Java (mornings) VR (afternoon)
3) Java (mornings) VR (afternoon)

Greg Peszek:
1) Java/C++ (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)
2) System Administration (all day)
3) Java (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)

Hemanth Srinivas:
1) Java/C++ (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)
2) Java (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)
3) Java (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)

Justin Yorke:
1) Java/C++ (mornings) Web Workshop (afternoon)
2) Advanced Java (all day)
3) Web Apps (all day)

Those are the 4 "main" instructors, notice that there is some overlap and some classes that are not accounted for. Â*That is, of course, because the other classes have not been finalized.

Does that help clear things up?

Yes, thanks a lot Greg! Now I can start on the massive amount of paperwork and start spamming you with things to sign to get my CR credit. http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Er, um...did I say me? I meant...Justin. Yeah, Justin. Hes the one you want to bother with ungodly amounts of paperwork and constant bureaucracy.

Yeah, him.

A few other comments about instructors:

Instructors might fluctuate based on enrollment numbers and other things, like the Java/C++ split first session that Greg mentioned, or our Instructors deciding to delegate some lectures or co-teach with our Assistant Instructors. The Assistant Instructors are, in no particular order, Carl Martin, Dan Juckett, Tim Juckett, and Tiffany Walsh (for sessions 2/3).

Tiffany Walsh will be teaching Designing for the Web first session. Nikki Roth will be teaching the all-girls program, Discover Yourself through Technology, second session. Zach Evans will be teaching Digital Filmmaking third session.

I think that de-mystifies most of the stuff about who's teaching what, but *disclaimer* everything is subject to change before camp starts. Our official planning week is the week directly before first session, so it is possible for things to change even up to the very last minute.

And keep bureaucracy away from me!
