Discussion boards down

These discussion boards will be down in the near future for system upgrades. Â*We hope to keep the downtime to a minimum, but we are not sure how long things will take.

Both campcaen2.engin and campcaen.engin will be affected. Â*Once things are working again we hope to have the boards back up and with all of the same info (if all goes well!!http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.

So right now things will work, but then they won't for awhile (that is planned), and then happiness again.

Thanks a bunch for your patience...

Watcha doin' ? Switching to *cough* a better board? Perhaps PHP board? ^_^

The boards will remain ikonboard, mostly bescause iB does everything we want, and we can keep our past posts and accounts very easily this way.

The web sites will be down becuase the server that is currently called "campcaen2.engin.umich.edu" is going to become "campcaen.engin.umich.edu" and be reloaded with new server software.

If you have bookmarks that go directly to these boards, or any page on campcaen2, they will need to be changed once the server update is done. These boards will be closed to new posts and account registrations 1-2 days before the server upgrade/move, and will reopen as soon as possible after the update. I will post the exact date of closure when it is established.

Also, keep checking http://campcaen.engin.umich.edu/ for 2003 information. We should have a page with some general information, a 2002 showcase, and a form to get on the 2003 mailing list up very soon, and we will be adding details as we work them out.
