How do we dial out? Like if I wanted to call someone at home

it says we can make long distance cards if we have a phone card, but never said how. It explained how to make on campus and local calls, anyone able to explain long distance with a phone card?

type 9, then the phone card number. You will then enter some form of pin number, and then dial your home phone (or wherever you are calling) with area code.

anywyas whats the deal with the lines?
